Steyr SM12

The Steyr SM12 halfstock is a modern rifle with a beautiful Bavarian style walnut stock, fitted with a fine fish skin checkering and a beautiful dark schnabel at the end. The stock is equipped with a rubber butt plate and 2 rifle sling loops. A wavy cut-out has been made in the wood on the shooter's side of the stock.

Threaded barrel

This Steyr SM12 comes with a cold hammered barrel of the highest quality, the unique profile of the hammering is reflected on the barrel and gives it an elegant appearance. The end of the barrel has an M15x1 thread for a silencer or muzzle brake. The Steyr SM12 can be supplied in many different calibers. The barrel lies freely in the stock, which means that the barrel does not touch the stock and therefore achieves higher accuracy.

Steyr SM12 Tractor System

This Steyr SM12 is equipped as standard with a trigger that has a standard weight of 750 grams, the trigger is equipped with a 250 gram set trigger, to deactivate the set trigger you set the weapon to safe. The bolt of the weapon is equipped with 4 lugs for maximum strength and precision, the bolt knob is recognizable from many other Steyr models, it is shaped to the stock and provides more than enough space to cock the bolt in combination with any rifle scope.

The magazine can be removed by pressing the 2 lips at the bottom, so the chance of losing it is virtually nil, inserting and removing is very easy. The magazine capacity for all calibers is 4 rounds, with the exception of the magnum calibers, which have a capacity of 3 rounds.

The silent safety of the SM12 works on the firing pin spring and blocks the trigger when the weapon is in the safe position, you will then see a white dot. When you load a cartridge into the chamber, you can press the safety forward and cock the firing pin in one movement with the safety catch behind the bolt, ready to fire.
