N160 powder from Vihtavuori is a very good choice if you want to shoot at exceptionally long distances. This powder has been specially developed for magnum cartridges with a heavy projectile such as the .338 Lapua Magnum with a 250 grain bullet. But it can also be used for a wide variety of other cartridges such as the 6.5x55 SE to the .416 Rigby.
The N165 is a tubular shaped powder with a length of 1.3mm and a diameter of 1.0mm, which is the same as N160 powder but with the difference that N165 has a different surface coating, which means the combustion properties are different.
For example, the N165 powder is a slow-burning powder, so it is suitable for the same caliber range as the N160 powder, but with the difference that you can use even heavier heads. With this powder you can also achieve slightly higher speeds, making it suitable for long-distance shooting and hunting large and large game.
